On December 21, 2007, my Wife was severely injured when she was struck by a car as she was walking to Church.  For two weeks after the accident, I could not get a police report, name of the person who hit her, or information on his insurance company.  A friend suggested I hire a lawyer.  He referred me to Mr. Cownie who specialized in accident cases.  In our 57 years of marriage, we have never had to hire an attorney or be involved in the Court system.  We were very nervous.  I contacted Mr. Cownie, signed a contract, and from that point, he took over our case.  It took all the pressure off of us with the hospital and rehab center, who were all waiting to know the accident information which we did not have.  Mr. Cownie told us he would handle all the information and for us to tell all who was concerned, to contact him.  The case was settled in less than one year out of court and we received a much larger settlement than we expected.  He was a lawyer doing his job and a friend who could be trusted.
